Behind the Scenes at the County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters

The Presidential Primary Election is March 5. 

Ensuring the security and accuracy of every vote is crucial to uphold the integrity of our elections. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at what happens to your ballot once it is returned to the County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters office. All are welcome to visit the ROV office for a closer look at how each ballot is processed. 

A total of 104 Vote Centers will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit rovservices.sccgov.org to find the nearest Vote Center location.

Voters may also return their ballot by mail, or drop it off at any of the 102 Official Drop Boxes, which are open 24 hours a day, and on Election Day until 8 p.m. Official Drop Box locations can be found online at rovservices.sccgov.org.

Voters can track the status of their ballot by registering at wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov. The service will send status notifications by text, email, or phone when the ballot is mailed, received, and counted.
