County Hosts Community Forum to Discuss Disparity Study Results Regarding its Procurement Processes for Small Businesses and Contractors

WHAT:
The County of Santa Clara Office of Countywide Contracting Management will host the “Insight and Action: Supplier Diversity Forum” to discuss the results of the Disparity Study which started in 2022 and was completed in 2023. The Study analyzed $2.4 billion in contract spending of goods, non-professional services, professional services, and public works projects between fiscal year 2016 and 2021. The Study collected 329 responses from business owners who shared their experience of doing business with the County.

Attendees will learn insights about the results and be able to share how they think the County can improve contracting with underrepresented businesses.
