DACA Program Turns 5 with Renewed County Support

News Conference to Highlight DACA Recipients’ Successes, Contributions

WHAT:
News conference by Board President Dave Cortese to mark the 5th anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), celebrate the recipients’ successes and contributions and affirm the County’s commitment to defend and maintain DACA against federal threats to end it. The Board of Supervisors will vote on a resolution supporting DACA at its meeting following the news conference.

WHEN:
Tuesday, August 15, from 9 to 9:30 a.m., before the Board meeting; Supervisor Cortese will be available for interviews at 8:45 a.m.
