Santa Clara County Social Services Agency Reopens all Public Assistance Facilities at Senter Road

Additional Assistance Temporarily Available for CalFresh Clients

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIF. The Santa Clara County Social Services Agency is confirming that all of its facilities at Senter Road, in San Jose, reopened today.  Buildings were cleared to reopen after temporarily closing due to last week's flooding that impacted several neighborhoods in San Jose.

The Social Services Agency facilities cleared for reentering and ready to assist the public are:   

Benefit Assistance Center

1867 Senter Rd., San Jose, CA 95112

CalWORKs Continuing Benefits

1870 Senter Rd., San Jose, CA 95112

CalWORKs Employment Services

1879 Senter Rd., San Jose, CA 95112 
 

In-Home Support Services

1888 Senter Road, San Jose, CA 95112

Employees and clients of these facilities can access the buildings from Senter Road or Needles Drive, via 10th Street, in San Jose.

The Santa Clara County Social Services Agency is also alerting CalFresh recipients who lost food purchased with CalFresh benefits due to the Coyote Creek flooding, that they will be authorized to request additional issuances through their existing case worker, to replace the food they lost or had to dispose of.  The request for a Calfresh replacement must be made by March 23, 2017.

Social Services Department of Employment and Benefit Services offices that were not impacted by the flood and remain open include:

General Assistance               1919 Senter Road, San Jose

Now that all offices are re-opened, Social Services will no longer occupy the Ridder Park location, Office of Child Support.
