Santa Clara County Social Services Agency Reopens Two Assistance Facilities at Senter Road

Alternative Sites to Remain Open Until Services at Other Locations Are Cleared for Regular Operations

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIF.  - Today, the County of Santa Clara reopened two Social Services Agency facilities on Senter Road, clearing staff to return to work at buildings that were closed on Tuesday due to Coyote Creek flooding. In-Home Support Services located at 1888 Senter Road reopens to serve clients, and staff may return to 1919 Senter Road.

Facilities located at 1867, 1870, 1877 and 1879 Senter Road will remain closed until further notice.

To ensure that SSA clients have uninterrupted assistance, alternative locations will remain available to either access services for the first time or to follow-up on an existing service request. 

The Department of Employment and Benefit Services will continue to serve all individuals (including accepting applications for CalFresh, CalWORKs, Medi-Cal, at the following locations from 8 a.m-5 p.m.:  

  • North County:  1330 Middlefield Rd., Mountain View, CA.
  • South County:   379 Tompkins Ct., Gilroy, CA
  • Central County:   650 S. Bascom Ave., San Jose, CA. and 880 Ridder Park Dr., San Jose, CA.

Clients may also apply for services by using our online system www.mybenefitscalwin.org. If individuals have questions they may contact their social worker or call (408) 755-7600.

Residents in need of emergency CalFresh application assistance as well as connections to free food resources may call 1-800-984-3663.

The following Santa Clara County Social Services facilities impacted by flooding will remain closed, and staff normally working at these sites will continue to work at temporary locations until further notice.
