FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 27, 2020

The County of Santa Clara has launched a new data dashboard on confirmed cases. Daily case count updates will be provided by 2pm daily. The COVID-19 dashboard also provides additional data that describes the confirmed cases.

The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department is announcing one new death from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 20 in Santa Clara County. The Public Health Department expresses our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.

The County is also reporting 32 new cases today, bringing our total number of confirmed cases to 574. Because of limited testing capacity, the number of confirmed cases represents a small fraction of the total number of persons with COVID-19 in the County.

Individuals and organizations can help slow the spread of the virus by strictly following the Health Officer Order to Shelter in Place. For the most current case and death counts, as well as information about COVID-19, visit our website at sccphd.org/coronavirus.
