The safety and well-being of our residents is our priority. The County of Santa Clara is working around the clock to coordinate efforts that provide support and resources to local agencies, jurisdictions and the community. Utility Service Billing Deferral for customers in flood-affected areas
- PG&E has extended the due date for customers in the flood-affected areas by 30 days to provide more flexibility for paying their bills during the immediate recovery. If customers have financial hardship extending beyond 30 days, they may contact PG&E to negotiate an extended payment plan. For more information, call PG&E (800) 743-5000.
- San Jose Water Company customers impacted by the floods who have recently received their water bills will have up to 8 weeks after the due date to arrange for payment. Other impacted customers who will be receiving a bill shortly will also be afforded the 8-week extension. For more information, call (408) 279-7900

Due to the recent storms and floods that have hit Santa Clara County, County departments and services will keep updating storm related news and information. The following information is available.
- Temporary Property Tax Relief for Flood Victims Now Available (pdf): The forms can be submitted electronically, by fax, mail or in person to the Assessor’s Office at 70 W. Hedding St., San Jose. The Property Tax Installment Deferral Application must be submitted no later than 5 PM on April 10. The form is also available from the Assessor’s website here.
- Free Income Tax Preparation Assistance Available for Low Income, Elderly, Disabled, Limited English Speaking Taxpayers. Help Available at More than 40 Locations in Santa Clara County
- UPDATED ATTACHMENT: EOC Activation for Recent Winter Storms (pdf)
- Board of Supervisors Declares State of Emergency in Flooded Areas; County Offers Property Tax Relief for Residents and Property Owners
- Medication Replacement Services: Do not use medications exposed to flood water. The Santa Clara County Pharmacy will make every attempt to provide a one-time fill of prescriptions for the 2017 San Jose flood evacuees. For details, please see: English / Spanish / Vietnamese (pdf)

Donations and volunteer opportunities to help those impacted by flooding
- Donations can be made to Silicon Valley Community Foundation
- Help people affected by California floods by visiting redcross.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting the word CAFLOODS to 90999 to make a $10 donation
